This Privacy Policy describes Our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of Your information when You use the Service and tells You about Your privacy rights and how the law protects You.

We use Your Personal data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, You agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy (COPPA & BIPA)

Lionpal is a learning game for young children, designed to be operated together with a parent or guardian. This notice explains what personal information we collect from or about children, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow the principles of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children's-privacy and biometric-privacy laws, and we apply these protections to all our users.

Photos of children

Two features let a parent add a photo of their child: creating a custom in-game avatar, and adding a character to a personalized storybook. We ask for a parent or guardian's consent before the first photo is added.

  • What we collect: the photo you choose to upload.
  • How we use it: only to generate your child's avatar artwork and storybook illustrations. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.
  • How it's stored: privately. Uploaded photos are never public, never shown to other families, and are only ever displayed back to you inside your own account.
  • No biometrics: we do not perform facial recognition and do not create or store any biometric identifier or face template from your child's photos.

Voice and speech

Lionpal is a talking game: your child speaks to the characters, and a microphone listens so the game can understand and respond. We handle that audio with care.

  • We don't keep recordings: your child's speech is converted to text on the spot so the game can react, and the audio itself is discarded immediately. We do not store, replay, or save recordings of your child's voice.
  • No voice recognition: we do not create a "voiceprint" or any biometric identifier from your child's voice, and we do not use voice to identify who is speaking.
  • What we do keep: the words your child says (as text) help the game track which vocabulary they're learning. This is part of your child's account and can be deleted along with their profile.
  • Never for ads or training: we do not use your child's voice or speech for advertising, profiling, or to train AI models.

Your choices and rights

  • Review & delete: you can delete any photo (or all of your child's photos) at any time from within the app, and we will remove the image from our storage.
  • Withdraw consent: you can decline or withdraw consent; without it, the photo features are simply unavailable and the rest of the game works normally.
  • Retention: we keep uploaded photos only as long as needed for the features above, and we automatically delete photos from profiles that have been inactive for an extended period.
  • We never sell or share your child's photos.
